Kudos® Apple Tree | G-890 (60% Size) - Bare Root (Spring 2026)

Kudos® is a new new apple variety from the famous University of Minnesota's apple breeding program. It was created by crossing two great apples from the same program, Honeycrisp and Zestar!®. Kudos® bring the best of both worlds together. Crisp, delicious apples similar to Honeycrisp with a more vigorous and grower friendly tree.  Trees grow fairly upright and neat growth habit and have shown moderate tolerance to apple scab. Kudos is one of my favorite new apple varieties on one of my favorite rootstocks, G-890.

1/2" or greater caliper and well feathered (branched)

4 -5 foot tall

Semi-dwarf on the modern rootstock Geneva 890.  It will produce semi-dwarf (60% size, 12-15' tall) trees that are deeply rooted, good vigor, wide branch angles and handle drought well.  Trees on G-890 are a great choice for a grower looking for a very cold hardy, modern improvement over EMLA 7 rootstock trees that produce more apples and carry improved disease resistance to fireblight and crown rot.

Kudos is also available on the more dwarfing rootstock G-935 (40% size)
