Trees are on Lovell a reliable rootstock with a long running history for success. It produces standard sized trees (12-15' tall) and is productive, well anchored and cold hardy. We recommend keeping trees on Lovell rootstock in zone 5, which is where Sioux Falls is located as it is not as cold hardy as bailey. Trees on Lovell will not tolerate wet feet and when planted into water logged, clay or low lying soils can be susceptible to root rots.
Peach trees are self-fertile (Trees don't require more than one tree to produce fruit, but having a second to improve pollination can increase the amount of fruit produced by the trees.)
