Red Jonathan (Improved) Apple Tree - 10 Gallon Potted

Improved Red Jonathan is exactly what the name implies, it is an improved selection (limb sport) of the original Red Jonathan.  It colors earlier with deeper red than the original. Bearing sweet red apples with white flesh bringing just a hint of tart flavor. Excellent for fresh eating and a superior choice for baking, preserving, sauces and have great storage life.  Trees are compact in size, precocious and bear annually with an abundance of apples.

1/2" or greater caliper, well feathered (branched)

4-5 foot tall, 

Semi-dwarf on EMLA 106 rootstock, making for a wonderfully balanced tree that is very vigorous, productive and produces fruit in fewer years than standard rootstock. Trees on EMLA 106 are one of the best choices for backyard growers who want a tree that can be easily managed to harvestable size yet provide some valuable shade for the rest of the year.
