Juicy Jewel Asian Pear Tree - Bare Root (Spring 2025)

Juicy Jewel® is a new Asian pear release from the top notch breeding program at the University of Minnesota.  An early harvest of sweet, juicy but crisp fruit makes it one of our new favorite pear varieties. The fruit has been described as being sweet with a hint of tropical flavor and are wonderful straight from the tree or even stored in the fridge for up to 3 months. Trees are disease resistant and wonderfully suited for our Northern growing environment.  Trees require another compatible Asian pear tree for proper pollination. Olympic Asian pear is a great choice and is our recommended 2025 spring pollination partner.

Trees are on OHxF87 rootstock,  a premium semi-dwarf rootstock, roughly 80% of the size of a standard tree. It produces trees that bear heavy and early compared to traditional rootstock trees. OHxF87 is very winter hardy, resistant to fire blight and pear decline.
