Methley Japanese Plum - Bare Root (Spring 2025)

Methley Japanese plum produces medium to large, purple/red plums that are great for fresh eating and jelly. Methley is a reliable tree grown commercially in several areas of the United States. It is also one of the rare Japanese plums that is self-fertile so it can produce fruit alone but benefits from cross pollination with another Japanese plum tree. Our 2025 season pollination partner for Methley Japanese Plum is Vanier Japanese Plum.

Trees are grafted on certified Myrobalan, a widely adaptable rootstock that tolerates wet and heavy soils.  It is vigorous, more disease tolerate, has fewer suckers and produces fruit in less years than seedling rootstocks.
