Zestar! Apple Tree - 10 Gallon Potted
Zestar! Apple Tree - 10 Gallon Potted
Like Honeycrisp, Zestar is another great release from the University of Minnesota. It produces very appealing, round apples that are crisp, juicy and have a hint of brown sugar. Zestar is a fabulous choice for home and acreage growers. It is resistant to fireblight, mildew, rust and is cold hardy, productive and quick to produce fruit (precocious). Trees have a longer harvest window and aside from eating fresh are a good choice for baked goods. It is susceptible to scab but that isn't typically an issue for non commercial growers. It flowers early so another apple tree that blooms early or mid season like Cortland, Gala, Ambrosia or Enterprise will ensure good pollination.
