Cold Snap® Pear Tree - Bare Root Spring 2025

Cold Snap® is a European pear tree that produces juicy, floral, sweet fruit that is firm enough to produce a snap when eaten. Fruit is ideal eaten within 2 months of harvest but can be stored for up to 6 months in refrigeration.  Trees are vigorous, cold hardy and grow in an upright-spreading form making them a great option for tighter spaces for high density plantings. Trees require another compatible European pear tree for proper pollination. AC HarrowCrisp is a great choice and is our recommended 2025 spring pollination partner for Cold Snap.

Trees are on OHxF87 rootstock,  a premium semi-dwarf rootstock, roughly 80% of the size of a standard tree. It produces trees that bear heavy and early compared to traditional rootstock trees. OHxF87 is very winter hardy, resistant to fire blight and pear decline.
