Methley Japanese Plum Tree| Krymsk® 86 - Bare Root (Spring 2026)

Methley Japanese plum produces medium to large, purple/red plums that are great for fresh eating and jelly. Methley is a reliable tree grown commercially in several areas of the United States. It is also one of the rare Japanese plums that is self-fertile so it can produce fruit alone but benefits from cross pollination with another Japanese plum tree. Our 2026 season optional pollination partners for Methley Japanese Plum are Vanier or Shiro Japanese Plum.

Trees are grafted onto Krymsk 86 (K86) full size (12-15' tall), high performing, cold hardy stone fruit rootstock selected in Russia.  It is very well anchored, tolerates a wide variety of soil conditions, including some wetter soils as it is resistant to most root diseases.
