Tree Details:
Shinko Asian pear trees are very productive, vigorous and bring resistance to fireblight and pseudomonas (blossom blast and dieback) This makes Shinko an excellent choice for both backyard and organic growers. The fruit stands out for being sweet, crisp and robust in flavor and an excellent storage life of 3 months or more. It's name translates to "New Success", and for good reason.
Shinko is considered to be partially self-fertile so I can be grown alone but for best pollination and fruit production another Asian pear should be grown as a companion. Yoinashi Asian pear is our recommended 2026 pollination partner for Shinko.
