Yoinashi is a newer Asian pear variety that is vigorous, with a upright growth habit. It's name translates to "good pear*. It is resistant to fireblight and pseudomonas (blossom blast and dieback).
The large, aromatic fruit is crisp, juicy and can store for up to four months.
Yoinashi is considered to be partially self-fertile so I can be grown alone but for best pollination and fruit production another Asian pear should be grown as a companion. Shinko Asian pear is our recommended 2026 pollination partner for Yoinashi.
